Omaru Creek

Our school value for this year is Responsibility 
                 
                     "Kaitiakitanga i nga wa katoa"

This term we are thinking about how we can look after our place. We are learning about how we can look after ourselves, our classroom, our school and our community/environment.

On Wednesdy we went for a walk to Omaru creek. When we got there it was stinky and we saw some rubbish in the water. 

We did see some pukeko and ducks but we also saw a rat scampering on the river bank and hiding in the bushes.

Each class had a turn to go down closer to the pond to look and listen while the rest of team 1 played games.
